SuperOffice ¡ The Concept
Even in the most efficient companies, important data is divided into "islands of information". Sales information, company reports, notes, memos, letters and spreadsheets are often scattered across various computers, buried in file cabinets or sitting on desks throughout the entire company. Without any common bridge, companies often find themselves lost in a sea of confusion. It becomes frustrating not to find the information when needed, and having to search in many different places.

Without a central database for this important information, it is virtually impossible to transform information into knowledge. A study conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce showed that employees use an average of two hours every day looking for information.

With its shared database, SuperOffice combines all the basic tasks that every business professional must perform on a daily basis. SuperOffice places critical and updated information at each person's fingertips and gives company-wide visibility to all customer related activities.

For starters, SuperOffice's "professional desktop" offers seven major functions: "COMPANY" to store information about important companies and contacts; "DIARY" with day-planner and to-do list; "ACTIVITIES" to keep track of planned and completed activities; "DOCUMENTS" containing customizable letters, faxes, e-mails and proposals; "SALES" to track projected and actual sales opportunities; "PROJECTS" to store and track sales opportunities, marketing events and other large events; and "REPORTS" for generating reports, mailing lists and labels.

The SuperOffice desktop also provides a direct link to other business software such as all the Microsoft Office and Lotus SmartSuite products, WordPerfect, ClarisWorks and every other professional productivity software. Because these applications are launched from within SuperOffice, every document you create is tracked in the SuperOffice database. Information from other systems ¡ such as year-to-date sales, purchases or sales orders by company or project ¡ can be transferred and stored in SuperOffice.

SuperOffice is an easy-to-use application developed to be the first one opened every day, and the last one closed at night. Through SuperOffice, all of your existing programs can be accessed.

SuperOffice lets employees co-ordinate common, daily tasks ¡ scheduling, to-do's, incoming and outgoing phone calls, notes, faxes and other correspondence. In addition, all data on your important relationships ¡ from customers and clients to prospects, suppliers and media contacts ¡ can be accessed and stored by company and/or project.
